The Jay Haide Special Model Eurowood & Vuillaume Violins

Our line of Special Model Eurowood a l'ancienne instruments include the Statue Model and the standard Special Model. They are handmade in our workshop by expert luthiers. 

Aged European tonewood produces a beautifully layered, rich sonority, whose depth and color is brought to life by its powerful resonance.

The delicate flaming of the maple on the back of each instrument accentuates the richness and complexity of the auburn shades of our proprietary varnish carefully applied and beautifully antiqued giving each instrument the patina of age, so desired by both musicians and connoisseurs. And, they are as beautiful tonally as they are visually.

The Special Model violins are available in the Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesu, J.B.Guadagnini and a reproduction of a violin from Jay Ifshin's personal collection by Tomasso Balestrieri of Mantua.

The Vuillaume model violins are the finest instruments in our Jay Haide line. Based on the work of the great Parisian luthier Jean Baptiste Vuillaume (1798-1875) our luthiers, using an actual Vuillaume as inspiration using the very finest European tone wood and a specially formulated varnish of a soft texture have created this exceptional model. A Jay Haide Vuillaume model violin could be an excellent choice for an advanced student or even a professional musician.
